The future of emission accounting and reporting: what is in the GHG Protocol revision?

This 30-minute session clarifies the GHG Protocol’s proposed Scope 2 changes and what they mean in practice for buyers, producers, and investors across the value chain. We explain what hourly matching is—and isn’t—how hourly-granular certificates would work operationally, who can realistically comply, and why a mandate risks adding cost without strengthening integrity. We assess “deliverable market boundaries” (e.g., bidding zones) and their effects on price, liquidity, and cross-border sourcing. From an investment lens, we contrast the need for stable, bankable PPAs with accounting rules that could import additional hourly volatility. We also outline the legacy protections that matter (grandfathering and transition mechanisms) to preserve contract value and credibility. The session closes with a concise action checklist and a participation guide to help you submit an informed response before the consultation deadline.

GO GREEN OR GO HOME – The decarbonisation imperative for SMEs

This third session of the Nvalue webinar series is dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises — the backbone of Europe’s economy, but also among the most exposed to new sustainability regulations and shifting supply chain demands.
The session will highlight why decarbonisation has become a business imperative for SMEs and how it can be transformed into a growth opportunity rather than a compliance burden. Participants will gain a clear overview of evolving frameworks such as CSRD, ETS2, CBAM, and the voluntary SME reporting standard, alongside practical insights into financial benefits, available incentives, and simplified reporting approaches.
